Q. What do you think your room says about you?

- I think my rooms say I am loud and have a
cluttered life.

Q. Do you think your future room will have the same qualities as your room now?

- I think for my future room I will still be putting any art I find interesting at that moment, up on the wall. My current rooms have my art spread out everywhere, so I’m sure even in the future that will still be the case.

Q. In some photographs, I may have asked you what items or pieces of your room meant the
most to you, why did you choose those items? What connection do you have with these
objects?

- So for the first item, I chose this baby doll head that I made into a piggy bank when I was in elementary school. I chose this item because it was like this point in my life where I didn’t want to be treated like a little girl no more, so my response was to throw away and/or disfigure anything that was too “baby”. Guess I have kept it around all these years for sentimental value. The second item that holds a lot of meaning to me is my two headed
dawg sculpture. I sculpted it during the first 4 months of quarantine and mentally, it took a lot
out of me. I’ve spent 30+ hours working on it and so many times I wanted to destroy it and start again. A big reason for that was due to the fact that I wasn’t comfortable in my space and I kept losing motivation. Now that it’s finished, I get to appreciate them a lil more everyday.

Q. Did you clean your room before it was photographed? I gave no instruction to clean or
prepare your room in any way. If you did choose to clean it why? And if you didn't choose to
clean it, how come?

- I did clean my room. It is usually chaotic, but lately I've been trying to have more structure
in my life, and that starts with a clean space. I knew if I cleaned before you showed up it
would make me feel more comfortable to have my room and myself photographed.

Q. Are you home often? (if so why?) Do you spend the most time in your room or
elsewhere?(if so why?)

- Before quarantine, I was only home when I needed to sleep or shower, because all I cared about was kicking it with my homies. Now I am home almost everyday working, making art or getting rid of old/unnecessary clutter.

Q. Would you say you're proud of your room? Do you feel like it suits you well? (alternate
question: do you feel like it is a good representation of who you are/how you project
yourself?)

- I think my rooms accurately show who I am. So I'm fortunate enough to have two rooms, one that I sleep in and the other that I work in. Since my older brother moved out it's just my mom and me, she let me keep my old room and turn it into a studio so to speak. I think the room that I sleep in is a representation of the person I am right now, and my room that I work in represents my interests growing up mixed in with art that I’ve made.

Q. How do you feel about where you are in life right now? Are you content with how
everything is going and how you are portrayed?

- I feel good about where I am right now in my life because I’ve worked hard to get to this point. I've spent a lot of time with myself this past year, and I'm more appreciative and carefree because of it. As for how I am portrayed? Well, I’m not sure what others will think when they see my room, but I am confident that you took good photos of me and my essence will be captured regardless.

Q. Do you consider yourself a social person, or do you fall somewhere in between social and
antisocial? (explain)

- I’m very social if I were to meet someone in person, but online I hardly ever talk to people, I don’t know. This is more of a self-confidence thing and not because I’m uninterested.

Q. Why did you want to be a part of this series?

- I wanted to be a part of this series because I thought it would be interesting to see how my room would be captured/portrayed by someone other than myself.

Q. How do you think you'll react to these photos later on in life?

- I’m sure I will be looking at these photos and thinking how much I’ve changed; since everywhere I feel an immense amount of growth. I’m not sure how much longer i’ll be living at home so I know I get to have photos of myself in the home I’ve spent most of my life at. Thank u!

Q. Did you have any following statements about your room? Anything you want people to
take away from these photos?

- Don’t trip
