Q. What do you think your room says about you?
- My room says that I have a lot to take care of, it symbolizes a lot… not just with my surroundings, but within myself but it also shows that it’s a work in progress.
Q. Do you think your future room will have the same qualities as your room now?
-Since I’m not the biggest fan of drastic changes, it most likely will keep the overall aesthetic with some minor differences.
Q. In some photographs, I may have asked you what items or pieces of your room meant the most to you, why did you choose those items? What connection do you have with these objects?
-My arts and craft cart means the most to me out of anything in my room, because creating is my absolute favorite coping mechanism. Whenever I’m feeling slumped, I can just choose any art medium within it and just start a new project.
Q. Did you clean your room before it was photographed? I gave no instruction to clean or prepare your room in any way. If you did choose to clean it why? And if you didn't choose to clean it, how come?
-Not going to lie, I did clean a little bit because I was actually really busy with a lot, and I let my room get so bad. Although, the large pile of laundry was uncontrollable.
Q. Are you home often? (if so why?) Do you spend the most time in your room or elsewhere?(if so why?)
-Yes, because I’m just content with being in the comfort of my own home. I have access to watch as many flicks and read as many books as I please. I also love having friends over to partake in these homebody activities with me.
Q. Would you say you're proud of your room? Do you feel like it suits you well? (alternate question: Do you feel like it is a good representation of who you are/how you project yourself?)
-Honestly, I’m proud with how it looks so far. I created my room into how I wanted it to look on my own terms. It projects a vibrant, creative environment with a slight mess, and that’s an accurate depiction of who I am.
Q. How do you feel about where you are in life right now? Are you content with how everything is going and how you are portrayed?
-I feel like I could definitely strive a little better to be my best self, I’m struggling a little with being content about where I am in life, but I’m learning to be patient with myself and my progress.
Q. Do you consider yourself a social person, or do you fall somewhere in between social and antisocial? (explain)
-I can be really social on some days when I feel like it. I love interacting with different personalities, it keeps my days entertaining. Although, I do have my days where I just prefer the comfort in my own solitude.
Q. Why did you want to be a part of this series?
-I’m all for supporting local artists, I hope to see all of us thrive in the future through our passions.
Q. How do you think you'll react to these photos later on in life?
-I think I’m going to appreciate them a lot, I might even want to hang one of them in my home one day.
Q. Did you have any following statements about your room? Anything you want people to take away from these photos?
-Do things on your own terms and be patient with yourself, you’re the only person who knows how much you can handle. Progress doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen if you keep going.
