Q. What do you think your room says about you?
- That I’m a rocker foo
Q. Do you think your future room will have the same qualities as your room now?
- No, as I continue to grow as an individual I believe that my future room would look way different but still have traits from my current room. Things like having posters, stickers or artwork on my wall. I think I will continue doing that since I love being surrounded by inspiration. I want to do my best and continue to collect work from people that inspire me like my friends etc.
Q. In some photographs, I may have asked you what items or pieces of your room meant the most to you, why did you choose those items? What connection do you have with these objects?
- Well one thing was my sewing machine that my girlfriend bought me for my birthday. I was really happy and grateful to receive that. I’ve always wanted to learn and get better at sewing, but since I never owned a machine I wasn’t able to. It feels good to be able to try something new. Hopefully I’m able to make cool pieces with it starting out. Maybe something pretty for my girlfriend. Very excited. Another thing were my mecha toys. When I was younger, I had an uncle who used to live with me. He introduced me to his favorite shows he’d watch while growing up, which included Gundam and Robotech. We’d bond watching them for hours. I instantly fell in love with these crazy, cool, giant robots. Fortunately, my uncle had a whole collection of toys which he later gave to me. I’ll keep them safe forever.
Q. Did you clean your room before it was photographed? I gave no instruction to clean or prepare your room in any way. If you did choose to clean it why? And if you didn't choose to clean it, how come?
- Yeah I cleaned my room before. My room is kind of small so it feels crowded in there with all this random junk I have. Thought it would be best to clean it up a bit knowing Ray would have to move around to take these photos.
Q. Are you home often? (if so why?) Do you spend the most time in your room or elsewhere? (if so why?)
- I would say that I’m home 90% of the time. I really enjoy spending time alone. I can blast my music and think about where my life is going. Some deep shit I guess. I really enjoy going out when I can though. If I could I would go out everyday but I never know what to do so I stay home. It’s chill.
Q. Would you say you're proud of your room? Do you feel like it suits you well? (alternate question: Do you feel like it is a good representation of who you are/how you project yourself?)
- Hmm I wouldn’t say I’m super proud of it, but I think it’s cool. Not sure if it’s a good representation of who I am ,but you can definitely notice the things I’m into if you look around a little bit.
Q. How do you feel about where you are in life right now? Are you content with how everything is going and how you are portrayed?
- I’m just kicking it, it is what it is.
Q. Do you consider yourself a social person, or do you fall somewhere in between social and antisocial? (explain)
- I would consider myself to be both. I just have to be comfortable with who I’m around. Some people say I’m quiet and others say I’m loud. I just don’t really speak if I don’t have anything to say.
Q. Why did you want to be a part of this series?
- Cause Ray is sexy and I love him.
Q. How do you think you'll react to these photos later on in life?
- Cool pics to look back on and reminisce. I’ll enjoy it.
